Chevy Blazer Reviews: What Are Critics Saying?

Chevrolet Blazer reviews are mixed at this time, though auto critics still note its responsiveness and trim levels they prefer. Check out the following Chevy Blazer reviews as you think about your typical driving needs in Canton and Ridgeland:

Car and Driver

This review focuses on the vehicle’s performance:

“While it doesn’t deliver on its Camaro-esque looks, the Chevrolet Blazer is responsive and composed on the road. Base models of this two-row mid-sizer come with front-wheel drive and a four-cylinder engine, though shoppers can select both all-wheel drive and a more powerful V-6 throughout much of the lineup. The six-cylinder provides adequate grunt and a throaty soundtrack for highway merges and passing drills, but it consumes fuel more quickly than we’d like.”

The folks at Car and Driver also make a trim level recommendation:

“We’d select the Blazer 3LT and upgrade to the optional V-6, as it provides more power and a better exhaust note than the turbo four. That trim also comes standard with blind-spot monitoring. Adaptive cruise control remains an extra-cost option, as part of a package which includes built-in navigation, a wireless charging pad, a 120-volt power outlet, a Bose eight-speaker stereo, and a 360-degree camera system.”

Edmunds

This Chevrolet Blazer review notes that the model is one of the most spacious two-row SUVs in its class:

“The Blazer is one of nine SUVs—seven gas-powered and two electric—that Chevrolet sells right now, so you’d be forgiven for getting it confused with one of the others. The midsize Blazer is as large as a Chevy gets without going to three rows, though the Blazer is smaller than some other midsize crossovers like the Honda Passport. And if you opt for the performance-themed RS, the Blazer manages to be one of the sportier options in its class, with poised handling and quick acceleration.”
